I rediscovered the Elkhorn Slough this summer. It was during the production of a video for the Elkhorn Slough Foundation, a group that just celebrated 30 years of conserving and restoring the slough, and connecting people to it. I’m always on the lookout for projects that require spending ample time in the field and discussions with inspiring people. I was able to do both for this project and the result is the short film “Oaks to Otters.” It debuted at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in October 2012 and will be screening at the 2013 San Francisco Ocean Film Festival, March 7-10. It’s a wonderful festival and I highly recommend attending.
